The decision says that the committee will submit to the Prime Minister plans and measures to implement the national strategy on research and application of space technology.
It will also help the PM oversee the implementation of the strategy and act as Vietnam’s representative to international organisations on space technology.
The committee comprises two deputy presidents, who are head of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology and Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, and 10 members, three of whom are scientists specialising in space technology.
