At the delegation’s working session with Juan Jose Rabilero, the National Coordinator of the Committee for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR), both sides agreed that, as the biggest mass organizations of Vietnam and Cuba, VFF and CDR are responsible for strengthening national solidarity and contributing to national development and world peace.
Mr. Rabilero expressed his thanks to the Vietnamese people for their support of Cuba and hoped that CDR-VFF cooperation, and Cuba-Vietnam friendship will continue to grow and flourish.
VFF Vice Chairman Lam praised the camaraderie between Vietnamese and Cuban people and expressed his admiration for Cuba’s recent achievements as well as the revolutionary spirit shown by the Cuban people in coping with the challenges of the US embargo.
During their visit from September 24-30, the delegation will attend the 50th anniversary of the CDR, lay a wreath at President Ho Chi Minh’s statue in Havana, visit the monument to Cuban national hero Jose Marti, and meet with the External Relations Commission of the Communist Party of Cuba.
