The fire rapidly engulfed the area, sending huge plumes of black smoke into the air and destroying the contents inside the workshop.
The sheet-metal roof that was on top of the workshop also completely collapsed.
After the fire alarm was raised, fire fighters and six fire engines were mobilized to the scene to tackle the blaze.
Fire crews were battling the fire until 11:30 am when the fire was finally brought under control.
Despite this, fire brigade teams continued to spray water to prevent the fire from erupting again and spreading to other workshops. There were no reports of casualties and damage to properties other than the workshop.
The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
