Localities seek measures to overcome consequences of Storm Prapiroon

VOV.VN - Many areas across the northern region were left inundated by flooding following torrential downpours lasting for hours caused by the impact of Storm Prapiroon, the second tropical storm to emerge from the East Sea this year.

Storm Prapiroon dumps a huge quantity of rain across northern coastal provinces after it weakened into a tropical depression and made landfall on July 23.

Strong winds cause many trees to fall in the northeastern province of Quang Ninh on the morning of July 24.

Furthermore, nearly 2,000 tourists are left stranded on some islands of Quang Ninh, including Co To, Quan Lan-Minh Chau, Van Don, and Ngoc Vung.
