A crowded scene is recorded on Ton Duc Thang street in Dong Da District at 8 p.m.

Each person spends up to 15 minutes waiting for their turn.

A similar scene can be found near Nga Tu So intersection in Dong Da district.

Local people flock to fill up their vehicles before domestic petrol prices reach a new peak on March 11.

Cars also form long lines in front of a petrol station on Xuan Thuy street in Cau Giay district at 8:30 p.m.

Petrol prices are forecast to rise by VND3,800 to VND4,800 per litre to surpass the price of VND30,000 per litre on the afternoon of March 11. This marks the seventh consecutive hike in petrol prices and is the sixth increase this year alone.
