VIETLAO EXPO, organized annually since 2007 under the coordination of Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade and Laos’ Ministry of Industry and Commerce, has become the largest trade promotion event between the two countries and a key mechanism for economic cooperation, helping promote goods trade, investment and business linkages in the region.

This year’s event will cover around 250 booths from Vietnamese and Lao businesses. As many as 70 Vietnamese businesses and organizations from more than 10 provinces and cities will showcase products across 120 booths.

Participants include National Brand-certified companies as well as major corporations and businesses in manufacturing, processing, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals and chemicals.

Laos has long been seen as a favorable market for Vietnamese goods due to its geographical proximity, competitive transport costs and the special cooperative relationship between the two countries. Vietnamese products, including processed foods, consumer goods, construction materials, pharmaceuticals, chemicals and agricultural products, have established a solid presence in the Lao market.

In addition to product exhibitions and presentations, the Vietnam-Laos Business Networking Seminar 2026 will be held as part of the expo. The seminar will serve as a key platform for businesses from both nations to exchange market information, identify potential partners, enhance investment cooperation and expand distribution channels.

Organizers are also stepping up promotional activities in Laos and northeastern Thailand to attract importers, distributors, trade promotion organizations and businesses to visit and conduct business at the event. This is expected to help Vietnamese businesses not only expand access to the Lao market but also enhance links with the Mekong subregion and neighboring markets.

With broad participation from businesses and a range of networking activities, VIETLAO EXPO 2026 is set to further reinforce its role as an effective trade promotion platform, thereby contributing to deeper and more substantive economic and trade cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
