VOV.VN - Ten businesses of Hanoi have brought craft villages’ products, One Commune One Product (OCOP) to the Lifestyle Week Tokyo 2026 trade show taking place from June 22 to 28 in Japan.

On display are handicrafts, gifts, and distinctive OCOP products, thereby helping to popularise the image of Hanoi’s craft villages to Japanese partners and international visitors.

At the opening ceremony of the trade show on June 24, Nguyen Dinh Hoa, deputy director of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment, noted participating in Lifestyle Week Tokyo is expected to open up opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises to introduce their products, boost exports, and gradually integrate more deeply into distribution networks within the Japanese market and the broader Asia-Pacific region.

During the event, retailers, importers, distributors, and manufacturers focus on sourcing products and discussing opportunities for OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) partnerships. This event is considered a key opportunity for businesses to boost trade, promote their brands, and expand into export markets.

As part of the working visit to Japan, the Hanoi delegation will organise various activities to showcase Hanoi’s handicrafts, traditional craft village products, and OCOP.

They will also work with the Embassy of Vietnam, the Vietnam Trade Office, and the Vietnam Business Association in Japan to expand trade networks and lay the groundwork for promoting Hanoi’s agricultural and craft village products in the Japanese market and others in Asia.

In addition, the delegation will attend seminars, business matching sessions, and meetings with international partners, while also studying Japan’s models for preserving traditional craft villages in conjunction with community-based tourism development. The programme will help Hanoi enterprises better understand consumer trends, quality requirements and technical standards in the Japanese market, enabling them to improve competitiveness and export readiness.

Lifestyle Week Tokyo is a leading B2B (business-to-business) exhibition series in Japan and one of the country's largest annual summer trade events. With a 21-year history of development, the fair is held twice a year, bringing together over 1,400 exhibitors showcasing approximately 38,000 products, and is expected to attract more than 45,000 experts and buyers from around the world.

The trade show features 10 specialised exhibition zones, enabling businesses to find suitable partners. Highlights include areas dedicated to gifts and home décor (Giftex); maternity, baby products and educational toys (Baby & Kids Expo); handbags, fashion accessories, and leather goods (Fashion Goods & Accessories); tableware, kitchenware, and ceramics (Table & Kitchenware); beauty equipment, cosmetics, and health supplements (Health & Beauty Goods); and a showcase for innovative, groundbreaking designs (Design Tokyo), among various other product categories.
