An estimated 1,200 tonnes of fruit are expected to be displayed during the three-month festival.
High on the agenda will be a conference on fruit development and export, a fruit and tree pruning competition, and an orchid exhibition.
This is the fourth annual fiesta hosted by the HCM City Tourism Department to promote the fruit industry in the region.
