VOV.VN - Two Korean stars Kim Bum and Song Ji Hyo will arrive in Ho Chi Minh City on August 28 to take part in various cultural activities as part of the Beauty Summit 2025, event organisers confirmed on July 27.

The two Korean stars are scheduled to appear at the main event on July 29, which includes a fan meet-and-greet, a beauty-themed talk show, and sessions where they’ll share insights into Korean aesthetics and beauty secrets.

Organisers say Kim Bum, starring in Boy Over Flowers, is returning to Vietnam as a brand ambassador to promote cultural and economic cooperation between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea, especially in the beauty sector.

Meanwhile, Song Ji Hyo, one of the regular cast members of the Korean variety show Running Man, will represent her own fashion brand, which she personally founded.

This isn’t the first time Kim Bum and Song Ji Hyo have visited Vietnam. They both have previously attended fan meetings and promotional events in the country.

Kim Bum, born 1989, who debuted in 2006, quickly rose to fame thanks to his handsome appearance, romantic aura, and natural acting talent. His breakout role came in “Boys Over Flowers” (2009) as the charming potter So Yi Jung, making him a household name across Asia. He has since taken on more complex and darker roles in dramas like That Winter, The Wind Blows and Tale of the Nine Tailed.

Song Ji Hyo, born 1981, began her career as a photo model before entering the film insutry in the early 2000s. Her debut film Wishing Stairs earned her recognition in the Republic of Korea, followed by strong performances in movies and dramas like A Frozen Flower, Emergency Couple, and Princess Hours (film version). A turning point came in 2010 when she joined the hit reality show Running Man, where she became known as the “Ace” for her fierce competitiveness and fearless spirit.

This year’s Beauty Summit is co-organised by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Korea Foundation for Cooperation of Large & Small Business, Rural Affairs (KOFCA) under the Ministry of Small and Medium Enteprrise and Startups (MSS). This is a key initiative of the Korean government to support beauty-related businesses in expanding exports and global outreach.

The summit 2025 is themed “GEN AI: People – Technology – A New World in Beauty”, featuring scientific seminars, medical training, Korea–Vietnam cultural exchange programs, trade exhibitions, and networking activities.

In addition to the two Korean stars, the event will also feature Vietnamese performers such as Jun Pham, Bui Cong Nam, and Thanh Duy, promising dazzling performances to energiee the summit.
