Heritage Space in Hanoi will present a concert entitled “From the Wood” by percussionist Tran Xuan Hoa.
“There’s something magical about the sound of the marimba. It’s as though all the tropical rain soaked up by the rosewood tree from which its wooden bars are made is reincarnated in sound. And someone who knows how to make the marimba speak this way is Tran Xuan Hoa,” Paul Zetter, an accomplished jazz musician, fan and enthusiastic writer and reviewer, said about Hoa’s music.
The concert will take place from 8pm to 10pm. Heritage Space is at Level 1, Dolphin Plaza, 28 Tran Binh street, My Dinh 2. Tickets cost 120,000 VND (including one drink), 100,000 VND, and 80,000 VND (for Heritage Space membership holders, students) and can be reserved by calling 0962929188.
